Treats

With one of the most fun holidays of the year being tomorrow and Liv having her preschool Halloween party today- we got crafty yesterday making teacher and class gifts. I found a template for these cute cute witches shoes over at the Daily Digi and decided it was perfect since my girls are witches this year. We popped in papers that matched their costumes and viola':Cute and fun as can be.

More to come tomorrow with the big costume revile!!!

piggy mcpig pigs

Swine flue- yeah we got it, it took everyone out but me(really, a pure miracle that I was left untouched). Ok, so my diagnosis isn't official because whats the point of taking them in to have them not test and tell me to go home and it will be 7-10 days. Because that is what the clinics do these days. It has been confirmed at Abby's school and it has passed quickly through all my family here in the valley. Maybe we shouldn't spend so much time together!!!

I think we are finally coming into the clearing- no more high fevers, headaches, chills, sweats- however the coughing has continued. It is getting better and the humidifiers are running non stop. They all finally slept through the night. Liv was able to go back to school yesterday, but I have still kept Abby home, it seems to have hit her the hardest, the fevers just won't go away. Today I am optimistic, if she stays well today, that will be two good days, I will send her tomorrow. She has missed a week of school, which in her class, puts her REALLY behind and that is TORTURE to her!!! Not to mention I have run out of things to keep her busy. I don't have anymore craft ideas, games to play, movies to watch, fun things to bake- now that is TORTURE to me!!!! Can I send her to School even though she has a lingering cough? I mean lets be realistic, that could hang on for well... EVER!

But on a happy note- Halloween is this weekend!!!! Don't you love these cute little candy corns?

I could just eat them up!!

So long...

We are getting a rebuild this weekend- what am I going to do without my internet access? I just might go insane, but he is going to load on Photoshop CS3- yes I am FINALLY taking the leap! It is very hard for me to leave something familiar and comfortable and predictable, but I am very excited to have ACTION abilities and shadows on their own layers- YIPPEE!!!

Goodbye Elements, my dear dear friend, you have treated me so well over the years.

So long for a time internet- I will miss you!!!

Sweeet

So, Third Eye Blinds latest album "Ursa Major" is totally rockin' it these days. I have uploaded it on my run play list. I loved these guys back in the 90's- their self titled debut album is still one of my all time bests.

"Sharp Knife" is my current obsession that I just can't get enough of, I keep playing it over and over while I run:

Sweet right?!!!

Green Lightening

This morning we went to Abby's final soccer game of the fall season. It was 45 degrees at 9:00am but the sun was shining and the players were determined to close out the season undefeated. They played hard, worked as a team and won 4-2 with Abby giving a miraculous assist for the goal to close it out on the final play of the game!! Her team is sooo good and Abby had a wonderful time playing with them. She was one of two girls on the team along with several boys from her school class last year. This year she really "got it" with strategy, playing her position, and getting after the ball. It was great to see the team grow and learn to work together. Last season she so lamented not scoring a goal, but her drive prevailed last week when she scored two!!!
I have to say the games were so much more enjoyable this go around not being the coaches!! We were able to just sit back and cheer on this great team. Thanks to Coach Carter for all the work you put in!

Abby, Sam, Coach Jake, Preston, Cambrige
Janessa, Cody, Timmy, John

They adjourn for the winter (thank goodness, it is cold out there!) and reunite again in March to defend their unbeaten title as the greatest team of 6 year olds ever assembled in Northern Utah County!!!
Way to go Abby and the Green Lightening Team!!

Family packed weekend

My Brother Trace and his wife Amber popped into town this weekend for conference (along with all the rest of my family!). They decided that they wanted me to take some family portraits for them up the canyon. They have a wonderful camera so I put the girls in the car as well and we made an afternoon of it between conference sessions and before Abby's soccer game. We could have played longer, but the day was jammed packed!!

Here are some of the girls- I loved how they turned out and Trace did an excellent job of getting them to pose and smile!! (You will have to check their blog to see the ones I took of them!):We had a great weekend spent bouncing back and forth between families, fun times, and we loved seeing everyone!!
