A Cd 4 Bree

This last summer marked the 10 year Anniversary of the day Paul and I met, our first date, and our nearly 2 year long, on and off again, courtship!! In commemoration of this I loaded up my IPod with the hand picked tracks of Paul for me on the very first mix CD he ever made me. Yes, before I met him I did not know about Napster, downloading and burning your own CD's. He enlightened me, saved my bank account and romanced me to boot!!!(Yes, this would be the original cover, and that IS Paul standing in front of a poster of Joey Fatone from the Backstreet Boys, OH I MEAN NSYNC!!)

It plays as follows:

1. New Radicals: Mother We Just Can't Get Enough
2. Collective Soul: Needs
3. Blink 182: All the Small Things
4. New Radicals: In Need of a Miracle
5. Lit: My Own Worst Enemy
6. Toad the Wet Sprocket: Whatever I Fear
7. Sugar Ray: Personal Space Invader
8. Len: Steal My Sunshine
9. Duncan Sheik: She Runs Away
10. Collective Soul: Hidden Track
11. Toad the Wet Sprocket: Fly From Heaven
12. New Radicals: You Get What You Give
13. Joe Satriani: Thinking of You
14. Alanis Morissette: One
15. Santana: Smooth (Featuring Rob Thomas)

So cue them up and step back, all the way back to the easier, carefree days in the summer of 1999. A time where Mark McGrath didn't mind being call Sugar Ray, Rob Thomas was only thinking about leaving Matchbox 20, and Alanis didn't know the mess Ryan Reynolds would make and was still rocking my world!!!

"Bob"sy Twins

Yesterday afternoon was a Salon Afternoon. Change is in the air and my littles needed some change with their hair! Liv's was so grown out and Eva never really has had a "haircut", only a little snip amid screams and tears.

I was only going to give Liv a trim to even out the ends, but when we got there, she became all excited to cut it short again. I did ask her several times if she was sure, and yes, she was sure! (really I was happy, because you know I like her hair short around her cute face).Eva was soooo great this time!!! She climbed right up and sat so still! We have a very cute grown up bob on her now too.
Love these cute sisters! They keep telling me, "Mom, we are twins now!"

Today at a glance

This has been my very out of the ordinary day:

7:00am- Up and At em: getting all three girls ready and out the door, lunches packed, myself still in house pants (no exercising today, so sad!)

8:00am- Load up the girls to run carpool with Asher to school

8:30am- pick up Mom to drive her to the airport so she can go back to Hillary's house

9:10am- stopping off at Jenn's house to bring her three boxes of my Dad's peaches

9:30am- drop off mom, give her hugs and tell her to send our love to Hill and Avery: commend my girls about how good they have been so far!

10:20am- Home, the girls play outside while I shower and dress (Yes, even with make-up!)

11:30am- Drop the girls off with Jill and Lily so I can start my round of volunteering in Abby's class.

1:00pm- Pick up the girls

1:30pm- Meet Paul for an impromptu Lunch: we all love that (Eva fell asleep in the car on the way, poor thing!)

3:30pm- Abby is dropped off from school and we rush her over to soccer practice, quick run to the store, back to pick her up

5:00pm- HOME, but now I must start dinner preparations

Next up: Dishes, homework, baths, and bedtime routine accompanied, I hope, with a little sanity!

Question: How do all of you busy moms do this day in and day out!! While it was all worthwhile, I spent the entire day in the car, and I didn't get my workout in!!

Twice as nice

Liv started her second year of preschool last Wednesday. I am a little late getting around to posting it, but she is no less loved and treasured!!She was beyond excited to see Mrs. Sherrie again and meet her new class who were sure to become her soul mates and life long confidants!

She ate her breakfast, picked out a perfect outfit, and waited at the front window for an hour before we had to leave!!Oh the excitement and anticipation! I am very happy that she is so eager and independent. She is shy, yet loves feeling like part of the group and being social- remind you of anyone?!!Here's to the second time around- may it be even better than the last- if that is even possible!

Oh, and this one- this silly, crazy, hysterical thing that keeps cracking me up with the funny things she says and does?Yeah, she LOVES having the house to herself three days a week!!

Pardoned

We have had a couple of not so stellar days at our house this last week. Nerves were shot, people were tired and everyone was out of control. I know, I know, non of you have days like this, but it happens over here!!

So after my last thread of patience broke the girls were given a talk about being happy, obeying, and not screaming at the top of their lungs in the house, the car, or just EVER- and sent to their rooms to think about it and quite frankly to give me a moment of sanity.

Next thing I know Abby has walked in and handed me this note sealed in a yellow envelope [she also let's me know she may not have spelled things right :)] and quickly runs back to her room.Seriously, how could anyone not forgive the bad behavior instantly! I guess she can stay...she is a gem of a daughter!
(By the way this is Abby with her Student of the day Bee Chain and her first school project- the Timeline of her life so far. And yes, after ONE day of school she came home and declared that she was going to grow out her bangs! I think she is a little too grown up these days!!)
