Spring fever anyone?

I am feeling it! The sun is shinning brightly today, the temperature gauge in the car while driving back from story time said it was 55degrees! All the girls wanted to do when we walked in the door was go back outside, ride bikes, blow bubbles and swing on their swings. All these things they have been unable to do for a LONG time!!
I, on the other hand have probably jumped the gun, but have started the spring time wardrobe swap in all the girls rooms. Liv was so excited to see a completely full closet of "new" dresses for her to wear and Eva was just happy to see some shoes that fit!! Abby is the only lucky one and will be needing a shopping trip to supply her with some clothes that aren't too small (I curse the fact she doesn't get any hand me downs from Audrey anymore because she and Grace are the same size!!!). So for today we are loving it, but I know that a storm is scheduled for this weekend and now we have warmer weather clothes, but really, what am I worried about, all they wear are dress-ups anyway!!
In scrapbooking news my progressive challenge ends this Friday. Step 3 was to add four papers, one plain and three patterned. Step four was to add a title and MOVE at least two things on your page! That last one threw me for a loop, but I think by moving the flower cluster and the picture it still turned out ok. This really was a fun thing to do.

Then just for your enjoyment I will put up some more layouts that I have submitted to the gallery. This one was for a journaling challenge - Tell about a name, what it means, how they got it. Amber's little nephew "Tank" was perfect for this:
This one is for the Template challenge put on by Andrea Gold. You download side A, submit to the gallery and she sends you side B. I haven't done the second side yet but here is the first. I used Andrea's new "Pink Parfait Kit" to make it. Isn't it just so beautiful. I also used it to make Liv's "Fashionista" page in her birthday post.

And finally I saw this picture on Amber's blog the other day and just had to scrap it, visions were flowing in my mind. I just love how it turned out!!

Have a great day everyone!! Go outside and enjoy the weather, we will be!!

For the middle one...

Olivia turns three today! She has been so excited for this day to come - because she was getting to have a party this year, a Care Bear Party! Join me as we step back in time and take a look as my darling little girl grows up in the blink of an eye:

Feb. 23 2005 - after a short three hour induction no less than 5 days over due she decided to join our little family. At almost exactly two months she chunked up and we loved every little chubby cheek and roll!
One year sped by and on her first birthday she was very sick, much to my scrapbooking hearts dismay, she frowned in every picture that year, poor thing.Soon she was two and overjoyed with the idea of birthday cake and presents. She was always so smiley, and LOVED Ariel!
And now my darling girl is three!Obsessed with Care Bears (I think she owns them all!) and dressing up, as you will see in her newest layout, a glimpse of her everyday life.Happy birthday Liv, we all love you so much and enjoy your enthusiasm for life! Everyone loves Liv, no matter where you are or who you are with, you just seem to make an impression and people just can't get enough of you. You have grown up so much in the past few weeks and your imagination has exploded! You and Abby play really well together(most of the time!) and you love Eva so much.

Thank you everyone that came to her party, you made her day!!

And Happy Birthday to my sister Hillary tomorrow, we love you!

On the move!

After 15 months and several setbacks (yes I am still sad about the leg), Eva is off and walking all over the place!! We are all so proud of her and this HUGE accomplishment!! She still does crawl from time to time, but is enjoying her new trick and all the clapping she gets whenever she walks.

This is my favorite phase - when they sleep through the night, eat by themselves, walk around to get what they want, play games (her favorite is Peek-a-Boo) and just plain are fun to be around! Heres to walking and being 15 months old!!

Same old, Same old...

We really don't have much excitement going on over here lately. Sorry everyone, but I did think I would check in and say hi to everyone else who does have excitement in there lives!!! The girls have been getting over some head colds and such, and I have been doing my usual things, cooking, cleaning, exercising, and scrapping. I do have my very first activity as the new "Activities Days" leader for the 10yr. old girls in the ward tomorrow. So I am going to have them all help me make the birthday cards for the Relief Society(yes, I am still in charge of that as well). I think they will enjoy that and we can get to know each other and find out some of the things they like to do while we craft and eat some treats - really what more could those girls want right!!!

Over at GDS they have some really fun challenges to do. I haven't ever jumped into one before until this last week when I joined in on the Progressive challenge. The idea is - the leader chooses every four days what you will be putting on your layout. Once one step is done you submit it to the Progressive gallery and you can't change it in any of the next steps! So the first step this time was to put on three photo's. Most of the participants thought doing the photo's first was hard, but that is how I scrap anyway!:Then step two was to choose five elements (three of them must be GDS items) a swirl, a clip, ric-rac, and two more of your choice. (All of these can be duplicated, but not changed in anyway from the original):
Step three will come out on Friday and I will let you know what it is!! I really am having fun doing this, mostly because I am all caught up in my regular pages and it makes me work in a different order than usual!!

Ok, I am off to prep the cards for the girls and give them all a reminder call - I know how scatterbrained I was at that age!!!

Has a week gone by?

Where does the time go these days? Well I guess between all the mundane daily activities that my life mainly consists of (dishes, laundry, making beds, fixing meals, cleaning bathrooms, you get the idea) time does go by. Lucky for me I also get my two hours of heaven most days in which I am able to dive into my scrapbooking passion! I have found recently that it is a great way for me to get together with many of my family and friends that are in the area but because of the before mentioned things, we just don't see each other that often. My sister-in-law Jill came over for a lesson (and told me that she has started a blog as well, but won't give me the link until she has it "up to par" as she says!). My sister Shamae is cruising right along, her pages she has shown me are great, and for never scrapbooking before I am very proud of her for diving in to the challenge! One of my roommates from college(yes, many many years ago!) came over and I had a fun time showing her the ropes. Head on over to her blog (Laura at the right) to see some of her first pages!! As for myself, I have been completely enjoying my first month as a Supreme, here are my latest pages for them:

I made this fun layout with Jerianne's baby boy Brogan and using Andrea Gold's "Brothers" kitThis is of sweet little Brody (Will and Kelly's little guy) using ScrapShana's "Cool Dude" kitand I did this one of Little Brogan again, this time using Theresa's "MyShining Star kit"Here is the two page version of the one I uploaded to the gallery using Amy Leigh's "Moraccan Bazaar " kit
Finally here is Abby's Five year old pictures (not using a single thing from GDS just to mix it up!)

So as you can see, many of my kits have been boy themed. I find this really fun to do since everything in my house is girly. My only problem is coming up with pictures of boys to showcase in the layouts. So, here is my call to all of you family and friends that read - email me a picture of your boy or boys that you would like done with one of these fun kits, I am needing to build my gallery and I would like to submit some more layouts!! (of course I will send you the finished page to keep)
Thanks for your help!!
As always, have a great weekend! We are not suppose to storm for an entire week and I am looking forward to it!!

Rights of passage...

Tonight was immunization night :(

My poor, sweet, innocent little girls didn't know what was coming. You see, much to my lack of planning, procrastination, and just down right laziness, Liv had fallen behind by more than a year and little Eva is over a year old and I never even started her. So with the need to get Abby's enrollment papers into the School for Kindergarten, which of course needed to include her 5 year old rounds, I went ahead and scheduled all three of them to get going. I did make the appointment for the evening so that Paul could be there to help me! My sister has horror stories of taking all 4 of her kids in at the same time and when the younger three heard the oldest one cry they took off down the hall and out the door!! She pretty much had to chase them all down with the help of the nursing staff!!

I have to say, as is almost always the case in our home, I was far more nervous and distraught then I needed to be, my girls were soooo brave. Abby came out with one tear on her cheek and sat down and said "Mom, that was more than a pinch, and I got three of them!" And I couldn't believe that Eva(after 6 shots) wasn't even crying when Paul brought her back down the hall. Of course Liv was the one that lost it (naturally) and with her big puppy dog eyes, she nearly made the nurse give up her career!! But as with most things in life, Daddy taking them out for ice cream and pink suckers makes it all better!! Now it's all done and forgotten, all three snug in their beds.

Another item on my new years resolutions on it's way to being complete, I will just give myself a pat on the back and help myself to a little ice cream as well!! Ok, maybe Paul can have some too for doing all the dirty work!!!

GDS update!

Because I know you have all just been dying to know what I have been up to over at GoDigitalScrapbooking, so I will fill you in!!! :)

They have changed the rules for the team - now instead of doing three kits (two layouts each) they want us to have six kits (one layout each)! You go at your own pace, just complete the six by the end of the month, but if you get done early, then I believe you get to start requesting kits you would like. Yippee for me because that just means more free stuff!! They also have us participate in a Supreme Team inspiration challenge, we have the entire month to do the layout and I am still deciding what to do, the winner gets a kit designed just for them, so that is fun.

Here are the layouts I have completed thus far, if you haven't already gone over to the site (linked on the right under my blinkie) and looked at the Supreme team gallery :)

This is using the new "Heart Throb" collab kit. Template by Babette (this one was published in the newsletter)

Using Theresa Borntreger's "Dazzling Kit"

This is from Scrapshana's "Spring Fling" kit. Template by Emily Powers (I really like this kit, the colors are very me!) I cut the title out of a paper using the Mask tool, a first for me!

My fourth layout is in the works, so stay tuned!!

And if that wasn't enough inspiration for you (Audrey!!!) I have also completed Liv and Eva's books up to the new year by going back and doing their Thanksgiving pages that I had skipped over, I don't know what it is about vacation layouts, they are just so overwhelming for me to get started!!!

Ok, now I am off to the shower, just got back from a great spinning class with my sister Shamae and her husband Steve. The instructor informed us that she had just signed up for the Women of Steel Tri also, it was fun to talk with her about her training plans and how we can cheer each other on at the event!! She made the comment that now that we are signed up there is no turning back! So true!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Photo session

This afternoon I decided since it was freezing out and we had no place to go (such is the life for a mother of three small children in the middle of a Utah freeze), that we should take Abby's five year old pictures. Of course then Liv didn't want to be left out "I will be twee after Valumtimes day" she tells me. Then I thought to myself, I can't rightly leave Eva out because I was able to get her very first double ponies today! She wasn't very happy about it so I was only able to get this one shot that turned out ok.

So, here are the pictures, I think they turned out pretty well for my amateur photography skills. I can't wait to make some cute pages with them. I had them wear the same dresses as in the new family picture we had taken in December(still waiting on my mother to order them!!) so that we can put them all up together in the front room. Yes I am crazy about coordination! Don't worry I will take some more of Eva in her dress when she is a little happier!

Have a great day!

On this day...

Seven years ago today, Paul and I were married in the Salt Lake Temple. In commemoration of this wonderful event in our lives and as a tribute to my wonderful husband of 7 fabulous years, I thought I would share a couple of photos.

The happy couple on a very dreary, rainy, winter day!

Here is the group shot at the temple, click to look at it larger and find yourself, as many of you were there!

Our first dance as a married couple at our Luncheon/reception at Heritage Gardens in Sandy.

My most fabulous tiered cheese cake that my talented mother made!

To Paul, my love, confidant, companion and friend -
I love you very much and can't wait see what the future hold for us together - Happy Anniversary!!

We are LOST again!!

LOST is BACK!!!! I am soooooooooooo happy!!! Paul and I just love this show and it has felt like a lifetime since in was last on the air. Did everyone watch? I really enjoyed the premier. Few points of interest - the Oceanic 6, who are the other 3?, didn't Jacob look a lot like Jack's father?, was that Locke in the cabin getting "instruction"?, and why is Charlie trying to get Hugo back to the island? So many questions and so much fun to speculate!!!

On to more realistic things, thank you everyone for your concern for my little Eva. She still will not walk on her sore leg, but she is crawling around and doing better. Like the Dr. said, she will walk when it feels ready.

Today I will be getting my instructions on what exactly I will be doing with the Supreme Team, well they said they would give us instruction on Friday, I haven't received anything as of yet! Can you tell I am excited to get started!!!

Today Abby is out of school as are all the kids in the district(teacher comp day or something) and my sister and Sister-in-law are coming over for digital scrapping lessons. It should be a fun afternoon! And in that regard here are some of my recent pages. The snow day one I have done and uploaded into my GDS gallery because it uses that "Winter Frosting kit" by Andrea Gold from the first round. I just recolored the purple to pink to match Eva's outfit.

These other one's are the Redwood family vacation from this summer with my family. I has skipped over them because it was a little overwhelming to fit that many photo's on one layout but now they are done, and Abby's album is complete to be uploaded and printed. Now I just need to come up with the funds to do that!!!!

Everyone have a great weekend, it is my anniversary AND the Super bowl - Paul couldn't be much happier!!
